The WWBDC is open to secondary school students (JSS 1 — SSS 3) across Nigeria. Schools must be registered educational institutions. Each school may enter a team of three debaters per category.

Debates are conducted in both English and French — making the WWBDC a truly bilingual competition. Students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in both languages.

WWBDC episodes air every Saturday at 6pm WAT on Africa Independent Television (AIT). Full episodes and highlights are also available on our YouTube channel.
